THE ACT OF BELIEVING
THE ACT OF BELIEVING
GRACE EMBASSY |
I believed,therefore have i spoken: i was greatly afflicted Psalms 116:10
When you are a believer, you will know when he asks you to tarry. “I will not give you now, wait “-that does not mean he will not give you. It could be for some reasons, for your protection. It may be to strengthen your desire for him; it could be to prepare you for the further, to keep you alive. Who knows, if the miracle you have been asking for has been given to you, what would have happen to you? Fill your prayer with the scripture because scripture prayer releases the power of God. Prayer and reading the bible should always go together. One is not complete without the other. This tells you that prayer has a language. The language is in the word of God. Read the scriptures because it is food for your spiritual growth. Read it because it is a guide for your feet. Without it, you walk in darkness. Read it, it has a purifying power. Read it, it has a healing power. It is enduring. Read it to keep you from sin and error. Reading it rejoices the heart. It is so profitable. The heart must be rooted and grounded in the word so that what God says is final with you. If not when God is saying, ‘Go this direction’ your brothers, sisters, cousin, friends will say, ‘Are you sure that the direction is okay? ‘You follow what people say, you follow men’s majority instead of trusting in Gods authority. If your heart is not rooted and grounded in the word, what God says is not final with you. The heart must be rooted and grounded in the word so what God says is final with you. Our heart is the communication point. Faith is of man’s spirit, man’s heart is not of his body or mind. Romans 9:1 downwards ‘ I speak the truth in Christ I am not lying, my conscience confirms it through the holy spirit……’ In every situation, God has something to say. Even in a marriage that is in a mess or trouble no matter what happens in the marriage God has something to say. But because what God says in not final in our live- the advice and counselling we listen to look at where we find ourselves today! When your heart is rooted and grounded in the word, you will pray and know it is the will of God. We pray according to his will, you are assured that he will hear you and if he hears, that is as good as an answer. How can we know that he heard? You and him are co-operating. You pray according to the instruction given by him. You approach him through the name. Matthew 18:18-20 ‘Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven. Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by my father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, I am there in the midst of them. ‘My word, then in the name of Jesus, makes things come into being, come to pass not a wrong confession. Believing is possession; My heart knows that the case is settled. No matter the signs, on matter the situation before or after whatever signs or symptoms I’m experiencing, my heart knows that the is settled. You ask for healing, so you get out of bed and walk. You ask for money, so you make provision to pay the bill. You ask for rain, so you put on your raincoat, you are ready when the rain comes. My heart knows that case is settled. That is the voice of a believer, a possessor. Jesus is your standby. The Bible says prayers should be followed by an attitude of absolute trust in Christ that he is working out the answer. I ask for healing, so I get out of bed and walk. My heart knows that the case is settled. Your prayer is based upon his word. Scriptural prayer releases the power of God. Jesus is concerned about you.
