BELIEVING IS POSSESSION
PS EBEN |
Believing is Possession -1
“And these signs will follow those who believe. In the my name they will cast out demons; They will speak new tongues; they will take up serpent; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick and they will recover”.Mark 16:17-18
1 John 5:1-4 “whoever believes that Jesus is Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves him who begot also loves him who is begotten of him. By this we know that we love the children of God. When we love God and keep him commandment, and his commandments are not burdensome. For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world by our faith”. This statement added must be to the glory and hesitance of the Gospel. 1 John 5:5.” Who is who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the son of God? Take whole of the word “believes”. That is where we are going to take the title today. “Believing is possessing”. 1 John 5:13-14. “These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the son of God. Now this is the confidence that we have in him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. That confidence as well means boldness. HE hears us that is as good as an answer. If I say, Jesus” and he says, “yes, my son”, that is as good as an answer, solution, healed, blessed, saved us. The power of faith is guaranteed when you believe his word. I am talking about the power of faith. When you believe his word and pray, you will know it is his will. Sometimes, you pray and don’t know whether it is his will to give you what you’re asking for. He says, ‘Ask and you will receive; Knock and the door will be open” (Matthew 7:7). But you still need to know whether it is that will of God to open the door and give you the bread you are asking for. When you pray in that Name, Jesus takes over it, then, it is in his care. It is no longer your burden as long as you don’t repudiate it by a wrong confession. When something is in his care, that is you say, “leave it for God, don’t worry yourself. Are you in trouble or pain? Leave it for God. Don’t worry yourself. If you believe, leave it for him. God does not need you support to remove that situation. Your word, then in Jesus’ name, make things comes into being, I mean, come to pass. So leave it for God, if you believe.
Very inspiring. Faith does all things
