CHARACTERISTICS OF A CHRISTIANS AND THEIR SPIRITUAL GROWTH

GRACE EMBASSY CHARACTERISTICS OF A CHRISTIANS AND THEIR SPIRITUAL GROWTH   SPIRITUAL GROWTH Every day can be an exciting adventure for the Christian who knows the reality of being filled with the Holy Spirit and who lives constantly, moment by moment, under His gracious direction.   1. Natural Person (Self-Directed Life)   (Someone who has not received Christ.)   Self is on the throne, directing decisions and actions (represented by the dots), often resulting in frustration. Jesus is outside the life.   “A natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God; for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually appraised” (1 Corinthians 2:14).   2. Spiritual Person (Christ-Directed Life)   (One who is directed and empowered by the Holy Spirit.)   Jesus is in the life and on the throne. Self is yielding to Jesus. The person sees Jesus' influence and direction in their life.   “He who is spiritual ap

EPAPHRODITUS

GRACE EMBASSY                                EPAPHRODITUS     (Philippians 2:25-30) Epaphroditus was one of the lay members of the Philippians Church. He was the messenger of the Philippians Church through whom the Church (at Philippi) sent their material offerings to Paul (Php 4:18). Also, he was sent by the Church as a person dedicated to be with him (i.e. Paul) in Rome to help him during his confinement. Epaphroditus became dangerously ill while his stay in Rome and was almost to the point of death Epaphroditus did not quit Paul citing selfish reasons Firstly, Epaphroditus was very brave to have accepted the call of helping out Paul, who was accused of a capital crime. This reason itself would have been sufficient for most to stay away from Paul. However, Epaphroditus, bravely faced this fact, travelled all the way from Philippi to Rome (distance!) and stayed in Rome to help Paul. After this he fell dangerously ill. Even though Epaphroditus became seriously ill, he di

SIN AND THE CONSCIOUSNESS OF SIN

Image
Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. 1 John 3:9(KJV) It is true that when you are born again you cannot sin? The answer is YES . The bible says ….For whatsoever is not of faith is sin.(Romans 14:23 KJV). The faith here is the faith that worketh by love in the book of Galatians 5:6 that is the faith God is saying here. Faith by love is God Faith that worketh by love is imparted by the word of God. Faith which worketh by love cannot be selfish or cannot fear any darkness. Sin do not separate man from God because the problem of sin has been dealt with on cross in Christ Jesus. The bible says our sins were nailed on the cross with him-(Romans 5:8-11 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled

MY TITHE

Image
MY TITHE Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings. Malachi 3:8 Now imagine that all the money you have ever been given to the Lord in tithes has been kept in a trust fund earning about 10 percent a year. Before long, you will get it all back. Would you be rich? Or would you be no better off? In our open verse, we noticed that God told the people that they have been robbing him in Tithe, They have been skimping on their tithes for some time now, and it’s affecting their bottom line. Malachi urged the people to stop holding back their tithes, to stop keeping from God what he deserved (Malachi 3: 8-10). The tithe system begun during the time of Abraham in the book of Genesis 14:20, when he gave Melchizedeck a tenth (tithe) of all the goods he had recovered. It was set up by God to provide an income for the Levites who ministered in the tabernacle and the temple of the Lord (Numbers 18:21). During Malach

THE HEALING MINISTRY OF THE GOSPEL

Image
THE HEALING MINISTRY OF THE GOSPEL Jesus went to every town and village. He taught in their meeting places and preached the good news about God’s kingdom. Jesus also healed every kind of disease and sickness. Matthew 9:35(CEV). The power of God’s word to heal disease and infirmity is proved over and over again in the bible. Without the Gospel the is no healing. Why Jesus could heal is that, He himself is the word of God and the word is what brings healing. When one is sick what is important is to act on the word of God by faith to be healed. The word of God can be demonstrated in your life only faith .Jesus asked …. Do you believe I can make you see? Matthew 9:27 This means Faith + the word of God =Healing. In other words you can’t heal without the word of God. Many times in the church we accentuate the preaching ministry, we stress on the teaching ministry and we need both of them, we just leave one of them, but if we forget the healing ministry, we forget a big portion o

PREPARE TO MEET THE LORD YOUR GOD Question 1 :    Dad, In view of the Covid-19 and the troubles it has put many countries now, it could it be a sign of the end time and what has the Bible said about the end time? Answer: The Covid-19 has been declared as a pandemic by the W orld Health Organization because of its wide spread across countries and the number of lives it has claimed, but history tells us that similar deadly viruses have plagued the world in the past such as the 1918-1919 Spanish Flu that killed an estimated 50 million people worldwide, so Covid-19 is not enough bases for many to conclude that the world is coming to an end. However, Jesus was asked by His disciples about the signs of the end of age and this is what He had to say   “3… Tell us, when shall these things be? And what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? 4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. 5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am
